Re: Transfer a budget in Grants Management

Hi All,

Attached the screen-shot for more clarity.

The column 'Total Budget' has incorrect amounts against the Sponsored class 'Equipment 5000-50000' and 'Honorarium'. Whereas the column 'Released Budget' is displaying the values correctly.

This is an outcome of 'TRAN' process in 'GM_CREATE_BUDGET' and 'GM_BDGT_RELEASE'.

Thanks Eli for your time and response.

Actually the issue was resolved.

The reason for the incorrect values are, the 'Transfer Budget' process was created in 'Unreleased' and 'Released' status.

So it is corrected by creating the 'Transfer Budget' process in the released budget through the Tcode - GM_BDGT_RELEASE.

Now it works perfectly.

I really appreciate your response.

Raj

Hi All,

FMAVCR01 and FMB_PL01 Report dislpay is not as per the Hierarchy Level.

Example :

Commitment Item Hierarchy :

Purchases - Superior Level

     Raw Materials

          C1-1

     Services

          CI-2

Any Actuals posted for CI-1 and CI-2

FMAVCR01 and FMB_Pl01 is displaying the Report

directly by F+ FC+CI1

Not Like below

Purchase

     Rawmaterials

              CI-1

Purchase

     Services

            CI-2

Any Suggestions to display these reports to show the hierarchy also.

Thanks in Advance

SAM.

Yes, correct. Fund centre could be either entered manually or derived, based on derivation rules defined in FMDERIVE transaction.

Hello, answer from SAP support:

"The commitment update functionality is missing from the mentioned BAPI_REQUISITION_RELEASE. Only BAPI_REQUISITION_RELEASE_GEN updates commitment (used for overall release).

You can use the BADI ME_COMMTMNT_REQ_RE_C to control the commitment update for this case."

I hope this information helped you

Message F6177

Hello,

When i try to use T-Code KB15N, i have this message error :

Commitment item 1000/0000//9600002300 does not exist in FM. I am posting to a balance sheet account (9600002300) that is created in Controlling (CO) as a cost element category 1 but not in FM area.

In fact, i don't want to create fund account corresponding to GL account 9600002300.

Financial Management Area is activated and of course i don't want to change this.

So my question is : when FM is activated is there any possibility not to use FM account just for some GL accounts ?

Thanks for your answers,

Roberto.

PS : i have already used FMDERIVE.

Hi,

According to your description, no only FM is active, but also its integration with CO module, as KB15N creates internal CO documents. So, first of all, check if it is on purpose. If the answer is positive, and FM-CO integration is required in your project, then FMDERIVE is your answer. You should derive a dummy commitment item for relevant accounts: a rule, that you can base on business transaction, for example.

There is no possibility to 'skip' FM assignment: it has to be done for every relevant operation, But, as I said before, it can be defined as 'dummy' one.

Eli

Thank you Eli for your answer,

i already tried to use a dummy assignment but this one have to exit. There is no possibility to use a blank !

The relation between GL and FM accounts is one to one for GL income account and for balance sheet accounts we use a technical FM account : "CBIL".

So according to you Eli the only solution is to use a technical FM account ?

Thank you

I'm afraid, I don't get your problem. Do you need a real assignment in this case or not? If yes, then, indeed, you have to create commitment item. If not - use a dummy one deriving it through FMDERIVE rules. Please, clarify your doubts... And to your question: yes, you cannot use blank FM assignment. Fund centre and Commitment item (at least) should be filled for all FM-relevant transactions.

Eli,

i want to use a dummy one but obviously i didn't succeed !

Any idea please ?

Why didn't you? Put a rule in FMDERIVE, deriving dummy commitment item based on, say, business transaction. In order to see what exactly transaction is set when using KB15N, put a trace in FMDERIVE: you will see in pop-up all relevant source fields' values.

Hi Sunoj Sir,

Thanks for the valuable Inputs...

Its Correct, In detail tab we have option to Change.Overwrite. I missed it....

Thanks Sir..

Also, i got the FOLLOWING note. JUST SHARING FOR ALL...

SAP Note: 658163.

You did not set a definite assignment of the FM account assignment derivation in the Customizing.

    • Release IS-PS 4.62, EA-PS 1.10 and higher: In the field attributes of the target field of a derivation step in Transaction FMDERIVE you can set that the derived value is transferred, even if a value already exists.
    • All other releases: You can set the definite assignment via the corresponding flags in Transaction OFUP.

Thanks Sir.

Dear Eli,

i already tried to put a trace and here are the results :

1/ first i exclude CO account 9600002300 :

FMDERIVE N° 0 Conf 2423.PNG

2/ trace :

FMDERIVE N° 1 Conf 2423.PNG

There is no more budget account ===> OK

3/ KB15N :

But :

FMDERIVE N° 2 Conf 2423.PNG

new error message : FI311 that means budget account is missing

ps : former message was F6177

regards,

Roberto

Hi Roberto,

I'm afraid, you are misusing FMDERIVE. According to your screenshot, the rule you create does not do anything. What you have to do is to build a rule setting source field as 'business transaction' and target field - 'commitment item'. Now for value 'KAMV' derive a dummy commitment item.

Eli

Re: Check expense posting based on actual revenue bcs

Hi,

Please, elaborate more on your requirement, providing some examples. I don't understand what you mean by 'standard checking'... All AVC system could be customized according to your needs: there is no standard pattern for tolerance profiles. You can define them as many as you please, and if it requires several AVC ledgers, this is also not a problem.

If your client want to control expenses, based on the revenue registered, then you might think of having RIB (revenue increasing budget) functionality.

Eli

Re: Fund is optional for posting with FM area XXX until 9999

Hi,

I believe, the message is quite self-explanatory: you have to set 'fund' as mandatory for posting as well. In IMG 'Allow BLANK as Value for Account Assignment Elements' fund should not be allowed to be blank.

Eli
